My mother gave me my first camera, a Kodak Instamatic 124 , when I was 12 years old. I still remember that week of anticipation when the first 24 pictures I took would arrive back from the camera store. The view finder of that simple camera opened up a different way of looking at life by observing light, people, and design. Over the past 4 plus decades, that Kodak camera was replaced by a number of Nikons and Nikkor lenses. My films of choice were Pan-X, Tri-X and Kodachrome 64. A hiatus from business school took me to study photography at Sheridan College and after graduating I went to work for Nikon for a year.

2001 marked the year that I sadly shot my last roll of Kodachrome and gave-in to the digital phenomena that has revolutionized photography and replaced silver halides. What has remained unchanged for over 40 years is my passion for making images inspired by light and life.

Studying photography and shooting for Nikon changed how I approached business. Over the past 30 years, my professional path as an investment banker has blessed me with the opportunity to visit many countries, meet countless people from different cultures, and see the world not only from airplanes, hotels, and board rooms, but also through the lens of my camera. My wanderlust for travel, my need for speed in the air and on four wheels, and my passion to make a positive difference in the lives of all who cross my path has only grown stronger since those first few frames I took as a 12 year old.
